Chanel Lacasse

Contemporary Jazz

Chanel began with classical ballet, which then led her into the world of jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hip, tap, ballroom and musical theatre. By the age of ten, Chanel was competing nationally in Boston and was accepted into the Royal Winnipeg School of Ballet where she spent her summer training with world-renowned faculty. She was accepted into their year round professional program both years that she attended their summer intensive. Chanel has trained and danced all over the world including Boston Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet and even in Russia. Chanel traveled to Boston where she represented Canada as a soloist and group member and won 1st and 2nd overall. Chanel has won several overall competitions including the title of Peak Invitational 2013’s 1st Highest Scoring Group twice and Peak Invitational’s 4th Highest Scoring Soloist.

Her training at Vanleena Dance Academy led her to being accepted by Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston where she trained under former ABT company members and, performed lead roles in their Nutcracker, Spring Repertory and in New Works.
