Saki Okuyama instructs the following:
Ballet: Helps to build a strong base, clean technique and proper alignment, all of which are essential for any kind of dance. Barre exercises, combinations across the floor and adagio are taught to live piano accompaniment.

Do you still love those point shoes that have been gathering dust since you were a teenager?
Does it seem just a little too scary to put on your point shoes in a regular ballet class?
Eva Carius is starting a pointe class at Harbour Dance Centre on Saturdays at 2:45. It'll begin with a gentle warm-up to get you back up onto your points, move onto some simple centre work and finish with exerpts from classical variations.
This is not a beginner class.
You should be taking at least 2 ballet classes a week, at least level 1, to maintain the necessary strength and placement.
