Chanel Lacasse

Chanel began with classical ballet, which then led her into the world of jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hip, tap, ballroom and musical theatre. By the age of ten, Chanel was competing nationally in Boston and was accepted into the Royal Winnipeg School of Ballet where she spent her summer training with world-renowned faculty. She was accepted into their year round professional program both years that she attended their summer intensive. Chanel has trained and danced all over the world including Boston Ballet, Los Angeles Ballet and even in Russia. Chanel traveled to Boston where she represented Canada as a soloist and group member and won 1st and 2nd overall. Chanel has won several overall competitions including the title of Peak Invitational 2013’s 1st Highest Scoring Group twice and Peak Invitational’s 4th Highest Scoring Soloist.

Her training at Vanleena Dance Academy led her to being accepted by Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston where she trained under former ABT company members and, performed lead roles in their Nutcracker, Spring Repertory and in New Works.

Tessa Tamura

At the age of 4, Tessa started her dance training in Lethbridge, Alberta. She learned multiple styles of dance (jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, musical theatre and ballet) and practiced them for 13 years before moving to Vancouver to further her training. At only 22, Tessa has already danced with the Source Dance Company , the Lux Dance Company, worked for multiple artists, such as Marianas Trench and Nelly Furtado, as well as an appearance in the Nickelodeon film "Rags".

Greer Whillans

Greer Whillans grew up dancing in a small town just outside of Toronto, Ontario. After graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bio-Psychology degree, she decided to switch it up and devote her energy towards pursuing a professional career in the entertainment industry. She spent two seasons training with the Source Dance Company under the direction of Joanne Pesusich at Harbour Dance Centre. Throughout this time, Greer's unique magnetism on stage and memorable performances has made her a recognizable name in the industry.

Greer is diversely trained in contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip hop, partnering, and contact improvisation. Though she can command the stage in solo performances, she loves team environments and artistic collaboration. You will find her dancing across Western Canada as a valued crew member for Groove Street Productions and Street Groove Dance Conventions. Greer enjoys assisting many of the industry's top professionals in their endeavors, and recently worked alongside Alex Pesusich as assistant choreographer for Disney touring artist Desirae.

Last season Greer performed in Mitac's production of Math Out Loud directed by Mackenzie Gray, and danced for choreographer Paul Becker on Disney's original TV movie Girl vs. Monster. She has performed in industrials for Telus and the Times of India Film Awards, and modeled for Vancouver's Eco Fashion Week. This up and coming “Commercial Queen” can be found in television ads for Verizon, Campbell's Soups, Kohler, and Mattel Games to name a few.

Greer received great reviews for her choreography showcased in The Source Dance Company's recent production of 'The Show: Gotta Get It.' Both highly creative and expressive, "she holds a unique ability to tie together loose ends and look out for the bigger picture."

As her success within the industry grows, her commitment to educate herself in the art of movement multiplies. Greer is delighted to announce she has moved to Los Angeles California and has recently signed with Bloc Talent Agency!

Liz Tookey

Choreographer/dancer instructor Liz is back from Toronto where she was performing in The Dirty Dancing Musical Ensemble and 1st "Baby" understudy. After 18 months at The Royal Alexandra Theatre she played "Baby" 52 times. Elizabeth’s professional career has allowed her to travel all over the world for the past 10 years. She began with Princess Cruises where she performed roles as Judy Garland and Cyd Charisse on the Sea Princess. She then traveled to Tokyo Japan where she was part of a featured pas de deux couple in “Encore!” at Tokyo Disney Sea. Elizabeth was then hired by Big Fish Management to perform alongside Lisa Brokop for the Canadian troops in both Israel and Egypt. Finding her love for choreography Elizabeth set many pieces all around Vancouver and the lower main land. She wa s hired as part of the creative team for the film “Reefer Madness” where she helped create dance sequences for the film. Liz can also be seen in this seasons Hell Cats series.

Lisa Metz

Lisa comes from Calgary, with 11 years of training in Tap and 9 years of training in Jazz with successful completion of Intermediate 3 ADAPT exams on both disciplines; 7 years of Ballet training and successful completion of Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Advanced 1 Examination; 6 years of training in Lyrical and 4 years of training in Hip Hop and Street Jazz, as well as numerous workshops and performances including Project CPR, Sounds Bites, Inbox, Stonefoxx, Making Up, and Dance on Film to name a few.

Moe Brody

After finishing her degree in Human Kinetics at UBC, Moe returned to dance with the NBA Grizzlies Extreme Dance Team and then choreographed the CFL’s BC Felions and UBC’s Dance Team. She just finished shooting a movie with Hayden Panetteire called I Love You Beth Cooper, due out soon. She choreographed for Ashanti and Brittany Snow in the movie John tucker Must Die and a dance sequence in Dr. Doolittle. She’s done commercials for McDonalds, Barbie, Kyocere, Coca-Cola and Disney. She is also on faculty with The Source, Danzemode, DanceFusion and Groovestreet Productions. As an adjudicator at dance competitions, she derives much satisfaction dispensing helpful advice which she hopes will inspire future dancers. Whether it’s tap, jazz or hip hop, her favorite place to be is in class, sharing a good story or two.
Modern and Jazz combined, technical and with unique choreography.
 
Level 2 is advanced.
