This class is taught by:

Richard O'Sullivan

Richard is a multi-talented teacher, choreographer, dancer, actor, singer and model. Besides teaching at several schools throughout the Lower Mainland, he has also choreographed for and performed in many events such as shows for Molson Indy Fashion, Bootlegger, Show of Hearts Telethon, Jr. Black Achievement Awards, Dragon Boat Festival, Tommy Hilfiger and Polo. He also toured extensively with the Japanese singer Anri throughout Japan. His film and video work include Connection with MC Hammer, Rumble in the Bronx, Robins Hood, Jack Place, and videos for Harry Connick Jr., Sara a new German artist as well as a Hip Hop work-out video.

Navid Charkhi

From Iran, Navid moved with his family to Canada where he was introduced to the diverse dance industry. He quickly fell in love and began training in hip hop, popping, boogaloo, jazz, locking, house and RnB dance. He has been noticed for his polite manner, his determination, his drive to become a better dancer, and last but not least, his silly personality.

Navid found himself involved with the notable PraiseTEAM studio recognized for their training in jazz, contemporary and ballet technique, as well as their strong hip hop background as seen in their silver-place win in the MegaCrew category at the World Hip Hop International competition in Las Vegas.

Favourite credits include the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Opening Ceremony, Project Soul, KTL Company, We Day Vancouver, Nickelodeon’s movie Jinxed, music videos for Ka.lil, Starlight, and Brooke Turner, and the Disney movie directed by Kenny Ortega- Descendants.

Navid continues to learn and grow as a performer and actor, and feels blessed to share his love of performing both on stage and on camera. He enjoys teaching and sharing his own unique style of hip hop-mixing choreography with different styles of dance.

Paulo Santiago

Paulo Santiago has been dancing for only a short period of time and has trained in many different styles such as Popping, Locking, Bboying, and Krumping. As an Instructor/Choreographer he is mainly based at RIGHTFOOTSTUDIO. Some of his past and recent achievements include representing Canada 2 years in a row at World Hiphop International in Las Vegas, 2nd Place at World Of Dance LA with Emanon, was apart of a featured dance crew in the movie "You Got Served: Beat The World.” and is one of the dancers for Lilly Singh's World Tour. He currently travels back and forth from Los Angeles receiving more training and working in the entertainment industry as well.

Ken Yung

Ken "Kennon" Yung - the co-director of "Kill The Lights" professional dance crew - taught at most major dance studios in the city and around Canada & the US - 4+ years of teaching and choreographying experience Check out the instructor's choreography - http://www.youtube.com/KennonLive About Ken's teaching style: A fun, high-energy, progressive class for beginners that focuses on building the foundation of dance (such as grooving, body rythem, co-ordination and isolation), as well as learning the latest dance moves and style in the form of original choreographed routines.

Jerome Esplana

Director, choreographer and founder of hip hop crew: 24/7. Jerome Esplana, a young and upcoming dancer/choreographer in the vancouver scene. He started his dance training at the age of 10 in Fresh Groove productions, director Cezar Tantoco, where he got most of his quick and intricate dance style from. Now, he teaches at the renowned Harbour Dance Centre and all over the lower mainland.

Joe Tuliao

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Joe Tuliao has established himself as an innovative and emerging talent in Vancouver’s dance scene. Joe started training in dance at the age 8. He has excelled in a variety of styles including contemporary, tango, street jazz & hip hop.

Joe has been featured in music videos (Tristan Thompson) & live performances such as WEday Vancouver 2015. Recently he had the opportunity to dance behind the legendary Janet Jackson in her first concert “Unbreakable” in Vancouver.Joe had the privilege to work with choreographers from LA such as José Hollywood, who currently choreographs for Nicki Minaj & Beyoncé. Joe is also a member of ‘The Faculty’ an all male crew composed of Vancouver’s top male choreographers/dancers. Joe recently started a dance training program, “Illustrative Society”,that focus on enhancing their craft in the dance industry. Currently, he mainly teaches out of the prestigious Harbour Dance Centre & Studio604 in Vancouver.

JP Tarlit

JP (John Paul) Tarlit is quickly rising to the top as a dancer & choreographer in the Vancouver dance scene. In his career, he has won numerous competitions with his team The Faculty, including World of Dance Vancouver and Artist Emerge in 2011,2012 and 2013, also placing 3rd at the 2013 Body Rody competition in San Diego. JP has taught internationally including in Croatia, Germany and Switerzland and currently teaches drop in classes at both Harbour Dance Centre and Studio604 in his hometown of Vancouver. Always eager to share his passion with the world, JP continues to share with others his love for dance.
 

Richie Lubaton

As a multi- talented dancer and choreographer, Richie has been in the dance industry for several years. He discovered his passion for dancing at a later age than most but that didn’t stop him from pursuing various dance styles avidly, including: hip hop, popping, locking, breaking and house. As a part of Vancouvers “Faculty” dance crew (dir: Carlo Atienza) Richie was able to help them win several titles in dance competitions including (Artist Emerge, World of Dance Vancouver and Seattle) He is also a staff member of Vancouver's most prestigious drop in studio “Harbour Dance Centre” where he shares his love of dance with his students every week!

Influenced by hip hop music and culture, this class introduces the foundations of hip hop movement and popular dance steps. Hip hop encompasses styles including locking, popping, house, grooving and more. Styles of hip hop taught in this class are similar to performances of dancers in you might see in music videos or on tour. (Please bring clean runners to class, no street shoes).
 
Level 2:(advanced) This is a high intermediate class for those who prefer a fast-paced and complex class.
